    George Walker Bush.

43rd president of the United States.
first ever with a criminal record.
    our third story tonight,
his presidency: eight years in eight minutes.

early in 2001 the U.S. fingered Al Qaeda
for the bombing of the USS Cole
    Bush counterterrorism adviser Richard Clarke
had a plan to take down Al Qaeda.
    instead by February the NSC
    had already discussed invading Iraq,
and had a plan for post-Saddam Iraq.

by March 5 Bush had a map ready for Iraqi oil exploration
    and a list of companies.
    Al Qaeda?
Rice told Clarke not to give Bush a lot of long memos.
    not a big reader.

    August 6, 2001
a CIA analyst briefs Bush on vacation:
"Bin Laden determined to strike in U.S."
Bush takes no action tells the briefer - quote
all right, you've covered your ass now.

    next month Clarke requests
using new predator drones to kill Bin Laden
    the Pentagon and CIA
    say no.

    September 11th
Bush remains seated for several minutes
    to avoid scaring school children
    by getting up and leaving.
he then flies around the country
and promises quote a full scale investigation to find
    those folks who did it

Rumsfeld says Afghanistan does not have enough targets
    we've got to do Iraq.
when the CIA traps Bin Laden at Tora Bora
it asks for 800 rangers to cut off his escape
Bush outsources the job to Pakistanis
    sympathetic to the Taliban
    Bin Laden
    gets away

in February General Tommy Franks tells a visiting Senator
Bush is moving equipment out of Afghanistan
    so he can invade Iraq.
one of the men who prepped Rice for her testimony
that Bush did not ignore pre 9-11 warnings
later explains quote we cherry picked things
to make it look like the president
had been actually concerned about Al Qaeda
they didn't give a bleep about Al Qaeda

July and Britain's intel chief says Bush is
fixing intelligence and facts around the policy to take out Saddam
    January 03
Bush and Blair agree to invade in March
Mr. Bush still telling us he has not decided
telling Blair they should paint an airplane in UN colors
fly it over Iraq and provoke a response
    a pretext for invasion

the man who said it would take several hundred thousand troops
    fired
the man who said it would cost more than a hundred billion
    fired
the man who revealed Bush's yellowcake lie
    smeared
    his wife's covert status
    exposed
the White House liars who did it
    and covered it up
    not fired
    one convicted
    Bush commutes his sentence

    then in Iraq, stuff happens:
    Iraq's army, disbanded
    the government de-Baathified
200,000 weapons, billions of dollars just
    lost
    foreign mercenaries immunized from justice
political hacks run the Green Zone
religious cleansing forcing one out of six Iraqis from their homes
    Abu Ghraib
    the insurgency
    Al Qaeda in Iraq

    other stuff does not happen:
    WMD
    post-war planning
    body armor
    vehicular armor

    the payoff?
    oil
and billions for Halliburton, Blackwater and other companies
while Mr. Bush denies VA healthcare to 450,000 veterans
tries to raise their healthcare fees
    blocks the new G.I. Bill
and increases his own power with the USA PATRIOT Act
    with the Military Commissions Act
public orders exempting himself from a thousand laws
and secretly from the Presidential Records Act
    The Geneva Conventions
    FISA
sparking a mass rebellion at the Justice Department

secret star chambers for terrorism suspects,
    overturned by Hamdan v Rumsfeld.
    denying habeas corpus,
    overturned by Boumediene v Bush.
    200 renditionings
    sleep deprivation
    abuse
Rumsfeld warned in 2002 that he was torturing
    that it would jeopardize convictions
    out of 550 at Gitmo
hundreds ultimately go free with no charges
    dozens are tortured
    eight fatally
    three are convicted

on U.S. soil twelve hundred immigrants rounded up
    without due process
    without bail
    without court dates
without a single charge of terrorism

it wasn't just Mr. Bush no longer subject to the rule of law
he slashed regulations on everyone from banks to mining companies
appointed 98 lobbyists to oversee their own industries
    weakening emission standards for mercury
    and 650 different toxic chemicals
    regulators shared drugs
    and their beds
    with industry reps
the Crandall Canyon mine owner told inspectors to back up
because his buddy, Republican Mitch McConnell
    was sleeping with their boss
McConnell's wife is Bush Labor Secretary Elaine Chao
her agency overruled engineer concerns about Crandall Canyon
    and was found negligent
after nine miners died in the collapse there

    Mr. Bush's hands off
    as Enron blacks out California
    doubling electric bills
after months of rejecting price caps Mr. Bush bows to pressure

    the blackouts end

Mr. Bush further deregulates commodity futures
midwifing the birth of unregulated oil markets
which just like Enron jack up prices to an all time high
until Congress and both presidential candidates call for regulations
    and the prices fall

deregulating financial services and lax enforcement of remaining rules
    created a housing bubble
    creating the mortgage crisis
    creating then a credit crisis
devastating industries that rely on credit
from student loans to car dealers

firms that had survived the Great Depression could not survive Bush
    those that did got
    seven hundred billion dollars
    no strings, no transparency
    no idea whether it worked

    unlike the auto bailout
    which cut workers' salaries.
    a GOP memo called it
    a chance to punish unions

but Bush failed even when his party and his patrons
    did not stand to profit
investigators blamed management cost cutting communication
    for missed warnings about Columbia
    Bush administration convicts include
    sex offenders at Homeland Security
    convicted liars
every kind of thief in the calendar
and if you count things that were not prosecuted
the vice president of the United States actually
shot a man in the face

    the man apologized.

    Mr. Bush faked the truth
    with paid propaganda in Iraq
    on his education policy

tried to silence the truth about global warming
    rocket fuel in our water
    industry influence on energy policy

politicized the truth of science at NASA, the EPA,
the National Cancer Institute, Fish and Wildlife
    and the FDA

    his lies
exposed by whistleblowers from the cabinet down
"complete BS" the treasury secretary said
of Mr. Bush on his tax cuts.

    Rice's mushroom cloud
    Powell's mobile labs
    Iraq and 9-11
    Jack Abramoff
    Jessica Lynch

    Pat Tillman
    Pat Tillman again
    Pat Tillman, again.

    the air at Ground Zero
most responders still suffering respiratory problems.

    global warming
    carbon emissions
a Clear Skies initiative lowering air quality standards
the Healthy Forests initiative increasing logging
    faith based initiatives
    the cost of medicare reform
    fired US attorneys
    politically synchronized terror alerts

the surge causing insurgents to switch sides
    that abortion causes breast cancer
that his first recession began under Clinton
that he did not wiretap without warrants
    that we do not torture.

that American citizen John Walker Lindh's rights
    were not violated
that he refused the right to counsel

    heckuva job Brownie
    some survivors still in trailers
New Orleans still at just two-thirds its usual population

the lie that no one could have predicted the economic crisis
    except
    the economists who did
no one could have predicted 9-11 except
    one ass-covering CIA analyst
    or thirty
no one could have predicted the levee breach
    except literally
    Mr. Bill
in a PSA that aired on TV a year before Katrina

Bush actually admitted that he lied about not firing Rumsfeld
because he did not want to tell the truth.
    look it up.

    all of it
all of it and more leaving us with
    ten trillion in debt
to pay for 31% more in discretionary spending
    the Iraq War
a 1.3 trillion dollar tax cut

median income down two thousand dollars
three-quarters of all income gains under Bush
going to the richest one percent
unemployment up from 4.2 to 7.2 percent

the Dow, down from ten thousand five hundred eighty seven
to eighty two hundred seventy seven
six million now more in poverty
seven million more now without health care

    buying toxic goods from China
    deadly cribs
    outsourcing security to Dubai
    still unsecure in our ports
    and at our nuclear plants
    more dependent on foreign oil
out of the international criminal court
off the anti ballistic missle treaty
    military readiness and standards down

    with two unfinished wars
    a nuclear North Korea
    disengaged from the Palestinian problem
    destabilizing eastern european diplomacy with
    anti missile plans
and unable to keep Russia out of Georgia

    2000 miles of Appalachian streams
destroyed by rubble from mountaintop mining
    at his last G-8 summit,
he actually bid farewell to other world leaders
saying quote - goodbye from the world's greatest polluter

    consistently undermining historic American reverence
for the institutions that empower us
    education, now "academic elites"
    and the law, "activist judges"
    capping jury awards

    and Bin Laden?
living today unmolested in a Pakistani safe haven
created by a truce endorsed and defended by George W. Bush

and among all the gifts he gave to Bin Laden
the most awful, the most damaging not just to America
    but to the American ideal
was to further Bin Laden's goal
by making us act out of fear rather than fortitude

leaving us with precious little to cling to tonight
save the one thing that might yet suffice:

    hope.

Finally, some one in

Finally, some one in Washington is looking back on the last 8 years and taking account of the misfortunes beset on us by a retarded president. Let's do that one more time, in court.

You would think that someone

You would think that someone as aware and as educated as Keith Olberman would be able to come up with the only logical--albeit unacceptable--conclusion: that Bush and his unholy minions are attempting to destroy the United States of America, that the NAMU is the final proof (although he doesn't even touch that--why?) and that these people are not "Americans" but are Corporate Globalists and have absolutely no allegiance to this country, that they are attempting to re-establish the Fascist state that Hitler, the man the Bush family helped into power started and that Bush is continuing--or I should say, his handlers are continuing. Bush is an illiterate dolt who is total degenerate. I hope and pray he is tried for treason and punished in the fashion called for by the law. Why don't you just call it what it is, Olberman? Why are you afraid to connect the dots?

Keith...you're a straight

Keith...you're a straight talker and right on!

succinct summary of what is

succinct summary of what is now part of our nation's history. it is pathetic. i 'hope' that we have learned the lesson. i 'hope' that we can get back to the moral high ground. i 'hope' that this beautiful country can endure. 'hope' seems to be all that is left.

Keith: Great summary. Now

Keith: Great summary. Now make a list of how the Democrats and Republicans in Congress failed to resist or supported all these acts by the Bush administration. Then give some credit to the few who were exceptions.

The crimes of this

The crimes of this administration is beyond belief! I told people around me that this admin. would be in court one day if it failed at becoming a dictatorship. Which it did! Mr Olberman has connected the dots but not in a way that would remove him from a position of being able to inform the public. I'm for starting a movement to erect a monument that has perhaps Obama holding a towel & water pail in one hand and holding a door open with the other for a Abu prisoner on the ground with the caption "this will not be happen on my watch" , or something that will be message that will not depend on courts or convictions to remind future generations of this crime

"...psychopaths have little

"...psychopaths have little difficulty infiltrating the domains of...politics, law enforcement, (and) government." Dr. Robert Hare

The White House criminal's

The White House criminal's years are over, but the damage that he has inflicted on the country and the world will stay with us for years to come I just cannot understand that my fellow citizens voted for that moron. Arrogance and ignorance are his legacy. Indeed, it's a very sad chapter in our history. Helen

"I hope and pray he [BUSH]

"I hope and pray he [BUSH] is tried for treason and punished in the fashion called for by the law." And his pension handed over to the Social Security Administration that he tried to destroy.

Well, "Moss Posner" Said,

Well, "Moss Posner" Said, what I was going to say here and what I have been saying for eight years" and he did so very well. However, I do not think K. Olberman is afraid to say much of anything. He is one of the few voices who tell the truth. By the way when I was saying back in 2001 that if we attacked Iraq and spread cash around among his pals, the debt would and did amount to $12 Trillion, only since my figures were mentioned on two rebellious Cable shows, did the regular media begin to quote my figures, sans giving me credit. The sad thing is that Pres. Elect B. Obama appears to NOT want to do anything about it. So, if a man who destroyed America's Constitution and Bill of Rights and murdered 1.25 million people (both US troops and Iraqi's) goes free, we should open the doors of all prisons and release the mere robbers and killers, for they have committed lesser crimes than the free man Bush. None are more evil or culpable than GW Bush. I say he should be indicted and tried for Treason and War Crimes and so should the congress-people of both parties who voted with and supported him.

So now... We're all just

So now... We're all just going to sit back and watch "hope" perform in the same vain with no scrutiny, accountability, or demands. Isn't it time we governed ourselves and stopped selling our elected seats to one of two parties with the catchiest, coolest slogan? Oh, nevermind, I almost forgot that we were Americans.

What a tragic epic poem this

What a tragic epic poem this makes.

In response to Moss Posner's

In response to Moss Posner's comments (below), Keith Olberman did actually visit that concept as he closed an edition of "Countdown" one evening. His comments to his audience were something like (paraphrasing): "Did you ever wonder that the reason why George Bush became president was to see just how much he could screw up this country?" Keith Olberman "gets it" and understands all too well just who Bush is and to whom he's beholden. I think that the reason why Olberman doesn't delve too deeply into such things as Globalism and the PNAC (which he has referred to on many occasions), is that he realizes one hour is not enough time in which to assay all of what Bush and his administration are and have done. To attempt to do so in such a short time period would end up sounding like a Cliff's Notes version of history and would seem more as a rant by someone wearing a tinfoil hat than a serious discussion of events. His program is a good one and I think that he realizes how easily it could be trashed as a "whacko platform" if he were to attempt to point out things in great detail without having the time to fully explain his reasoning. Instead, he simply trusts his audience to be savvy enough to connect their own dots.

Two things now reassure me,

Two things now reassure me, little french neighbour from the North, with what is going on down South : there are still enough people thinking straith down there, Mr. Olberman a living proof, and second, his courage and consistency in taking a stand. There would be a third reassuring one about America in general, though it came close to effective fascist control of the press by the Bushies but for a few media, the freedom of speech which allowed it.

And if our courts fail us,

And if our courts fail us, which they did so spectacularly when Bush was made Czar, then let me be the first to sign onto a class action suit: The People of the United States vs GW Bus et al

So now we need to do

So now we need to do something about this. These were the darkest days of America. We can regain standing in the world if we bring this criminal and his cohorts to justice.

It would be a slap in the

It would be a slap in the face of all decent Americans if king brush george got away with all this. What a scum bag. He, and his cohorts, MUST be brought to justice. We have already lost our country in an economic sense, maybe we can save it in a moral sense. Our cleansing process needs to include the Truth.

I will save a copy of this

I will save a copy of this article - it was pretty good. But as Moss Posner stated, "W" is not the real criminal - it is the global corporatist/Fascist cabal that is behind him and has pulled his strings from day one. Painting "W" as an idiot (which he is) is just part of another smokescreen behind which the criminal and treasonous cabal hide. Expect no legal pursuit of "W". It would not help America anyway, since it is the cabal behind him that need to experience true justice. But even with "W" gone from the public stage, America's problems still exist. And the Beast is still among us, although they will rule now from the shadows of the Democratic party. Is Obama now our "savior"? We will have to wait and see, but I am pretty sure that his script has also been well prepared in advance.

i know that there is

i know that there is precious little time to correct the horrendous economic problems left to us by the criminals of the Bush Administration. The entire business community is as corrupt as a street corner harlot and most of the politicians are as well. But somehow, at some point, the crimes of the Bush Gang have to be prosecuted. The idea of this illiterate thug drawing a pension of a million dollars a year is disgusting ! And even in his last days in office, his minions are working to further erode the environment and the sensible regulations we depend on for survival. He was signing exectutive orders right up to the end to further harm our water and air. To me, there can never be a Republican Party again. Try the SOB's while we hunt the rope and hear their appeal on the way to the tree !! SLIME !

How about adding the use of

How about adding the use of depleted uranium in weaponry and the effects of radiation on U.S. army personnel, on the population of Iraq, most especially the children and likely for generations to come. In fact, the horrific sanctions on Iraq introduced under Clinton have caused the death of thousands of Iraqi children.

The best 8 minutes ever.

The best 8 minutes ever. Olberman, you often irritate us, because your hour is so fragmented, your imitations are overblown, and often you are too cute, but this time you hit a home run.

As Pat Oliphant's punk urged

As Pat Oliphant's punk urged us not so very long ago, "Git a rope." Enough talk-talk, it's time to hold these thugs and willful ignoramuses accountable to the law.

Well said, Mr Pitts!. You

Well said, Mr Pitts!. You are a danged good man, and there are not many of us left! Some things I would add, Saddam sent for a Spanish high Govt, official, sent him to Crawford to tell Bush he would go into exclusion if he could take one billion dollars with him. Bush railed and ranted, saying "I have lost patience with him. I am going to war!" And he set for seven minutes when he was informed about the Twin Towers, not even thinking about the children, screaming to himself "What will I do?" Washington is North from Florida, Momma is west. Airforce One headed west. Ari Fleisher [sp] said "We heard a rumor Airforce One was threatened" By whom? There were no other planes in the sky, all had been grounded, and who all knew it was in Florida? This man[?] was/is a terrible misfit for any Government office. He was selected for the Presidency by the five so-called Supreme Court Justices. Won his second term by stolen votes from Ohio and Fl. Finally, GOOD RIDDENCE! but it will take many years before his terms will be removed from what was once America.

The founding fathers must

The founding fathers must be doing double back flips in their graves. Let us not forget that none of these atrocities could have been perpetrated without the inaction or collusion of the people's other elected representatives. Bush and his henchmen (Sorry, Dr. Rice, henchpersons...) tapped into a reservoir of fear and hatred that exists just under the surface of American society, and used it for their own ends...which was the preservation of their world view, and the accumulation of personal power and wealth. Yes, the country voted them into office twice...proof positive that the American people deserve to get what they want, and get it hard.

After Eisenhower issued his

After Eisenhower issued his famous statement "Beware the military-industrial complex" an aunt said to me: "Learn early nephew! America has become a socialist state....for the rich". A number of years ago I read that the neocons sole goal was to destroy (our) government, so that they could merrily go on their way destroying everything in their path in the name of profit. Well they have just about succeeded! But hey! We are the "greatest nation on earth!' We got Jesus and sports. What more do we need?

wow, that really sums it up.

wow, that really sums it up. the sum is considerably less than the whole we now find ourselves crawling and gibbering into. but you left out some of the good things , the rich got richer, the fatcats made billions, our underground economy is considerably expanded. we get to spend more time in the great out of doors, we don't eat as much, and we don't have to pay taxes . georgie porgy cut up the pie, gave it to his friends and watched us die

To DJK Cabal or investment

To DJK Cabal or investment bankers or Ruling Elite, yes, I agree, but I figured if anyone might be able to 'fake them out' and do a perilous 'end run' it would be Barack O.

I would like to reiterate

I would like to reiterate what a couple above stated as it is absolutely bang on and we need to "reclaim our individual sovereignty" and get out of the system these criminal have enslaved us to (print our own interest free currency) (google reclaiming our sovereignty) - and also expose, then try them all (actually when mass public find out the facts, nature will take its course - there toast). Quotes from above: But as Moss Posner stated, "W" is not the real criminal - it is the global corporatist/Fascist cabal that is behind him and has pulled his strings from day one. Painting "W" as an idiot (which he is) is just part of another smokescreen behind which the criminal and treasonous cabal hide....the Beast is still among us, although they will rule now from the shadows of the Democratic party. Is Obama now our "savior"? We will have to wait and see, but I am pretty sure that his script has also been well prepared in advance....these people are not "Americans" but are Corporate Globalists and have absolutely no allegiance to this country, that they are attempting to re-establish the Fascist state that Hitler, the man the Bush family helped into power started and that Bush is continuing--or I should say, his handlers are continuing.

Well articulated but it

Well articulated but it places all the blame on Bush which is no more the case than blaming Nazi Germany on Hitler. Without the support of corporate executives and their money, without the support of a corrupt media that tore down Gore and Kerry while elevating a dry drunk to the presidency, a Supreme Court with 5 justices happy to ignore the US Constitution, and a US Congress either happy to go along the the ride with the vote to kill the Glass-Segal Act, vote for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, vote for funding the wars year after year, voting for approval of wire tapping and retroactive immunity for the executives at the phone companies, voting to give $700 billion dollars to banks and investment houses with no strings attached and no oversight, and the various secretaries of state across the country engaging in caging and election fraud, there is plenty of blame to go around. Bush aptly personifies the greed, the corruption, the perverse pride in ignorance, the embrace of churches that pander to their congregations need to believe that they are chosen by god and exempt from the laws of nature or of man, god, that is endemic in the United States. The so called "greatest generation" has really left a mess behind of historic proportions that will haunt their grandchildren in the decades to come..

How about giving ALL of his

How about giving ALL of his assets to Social Security. But then who will have the sense of justice to put him out of our misery? Please.

Thank you Mr. Olberman! That

Thank you Mr. Olberman! That was was a great summary of the eight year nightmare that this country has been through. We can only hope that the world court will prosecute these criminals the same way they did the Nazis war criminals. This is a black mark on our country that will take generations to remove. I hope people have learned how close we came to a dictatorship. Hope is one day away. I did not serve my country for this legacy. To my brothers and sisters in the service. I as do the rest of Ameicans thank you for your service and dedication to preserving our counstitution and our freedoms. We wish that our previous leaders held the same goals. We look forward to your speedy and safe return home to your family and love ones. Ged bless you and God bless America

Does corn fuel ethanol

Does corn fuel ethanol policy increase oil use and Big oil profit?

O.K. So that is the

O.K. So that is the prosecution's summary...now let the trial begin!

What's that "law and order"

What's that "law and order" mantra? "Three times and you're out"? How many three times does it take before we haul into court and throw into jail the criminals responsible for the past eight years? Aiders and abettors are also tried and jailed, remember? And lest the reasoning be that it's over and we need to get on with our lives, let's ask why, at the same time, communities around the country keep building bigger prisons and locking up petty crooks, putting them into situations where they learn badder behavior and greater resentments. Instead, empty some cells and put into them the worst of the worst, starting with Bush and Cheney, regardless of their white collars and grey hairs. They are evil men. They have done evil. They should get what they have earned.

Outstanding! Thank you, you

Outstanding! Thank you, you captured it well.

Every comment fails to

Every comment fails to mention the one word that leads to all the criminals---Usury---. All major Holy Books forbade it. NOT ANYMORE.Who changed the LAW??? We can cure all our problems with one simple solution---CANCEL ALL DEBT---and watch the people dance in the streets. Let's celebrate a NEW BEGINNING-------

So what is it with Obama and

So what is it with Obama and his 'disinclination' to pursue a thorough investigation of all that is 'BuSh'.... And, to this day, I wish someone somewhere with the Constitutional Legal knowledge and insight, could explain to me where Nancy Pelosi got the Power, the Divine Permission, The Right... to 'take Impeachment off the table' and NOT IMPEACH George BuSh and Dick Cheney..? Because of her perceived political strategic needs...?.. That's Legit/Legal/a Right..? Where does a sitting Speaker of the House who swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution get such power..? If Republicans declared what Clinton did to be a grave threat to the very foundation of our Republic, then what do they call what BuSh and Cheney have done..? I think what BuSh and Cheney have done is just too much, too big, too intolerable to just let it pass... Isn't it..? Is it really possible that they will just leave office and go about living their lives and spinning their BS version of their legacy without any kind of Investigation?... Indictments?.. Prosecutions?

I agree with America's sad

I agree with America's sad state of affairs described by Keith Olbermann and so ably discussed by all the commentators . Yes there is enough blame to go around. In the final analysis, each of us share the blame for electing the politicians who led us to the gates of hell, and who even now support a continuation of the very destructive policies calling for killing the peoples of the world, especially in Gaza, Iraq and Afghanistan. Change will not come easy or quickly, and we continue to fool ourselves that our shallow political leadership will provide salvation by trying to spend more of our grandchildren's future earnings to stave off our current bankruptcy. How can we restart our economy and achieve economic recovery by spending more money we don't have? All Human activity consists of thoughts, words and deeds, and each of us must change our thinking and actions consistent with a better life for all. Until each of us realize it is in our own self interest and the best interest of the common good of all people, and adopt and demand a creed of governance such as the Jaycee creed (copy attached) and live it in our own lives, and demand it of our political leadership, salvation with always remain just out of our reach, in my opinion. Here is a copy of the Jaycee Creed: We Believe: That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life; That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations; That economic justice can best be won by free man through free enterprise; That government should be of laws rather than of men; That earth's great treasure lies in human personality; And that service to humanity is the best work of life.

Now, someone explain to me

Now, someone explain to me why they were never impeached

WIll George W. BuSh become

WIll George W. BuSh become the 'Boll Weevil' of America...? Would a Bronze Statue of BuSh bring smiles and pride to the Rightwingnuts who see him as the Great Dictator... And smiles of satisfacion to the Left who see him as deserving of the piles of pigeon crap that would rain down upon his smirking image every day... ? Is BuSh in Bronze a possible Nation healing, Unifying Oxymoron we should consider...?

My hope is that this falls

My hope is that this falls into the lap of the States, and some ambitious young prosecutor picks it up. Someone competent who wants to make a name for him'herself. There are so MANY crimes that can be prosecuted that we could have several cases filed in every state! Vermont would be a great place to begin, wouldn't it? Under the law of the Constitution, Bush can not pardon himself. Legally he can not pardon Cheney Rice Rumsfeld or Rove either...they have not been charged with anything and a pardon can only be given IF a person is found guilty. Ford did something illegal when he pardoned Nixon. So I wonder, what plan does Bushco have to cover their butts?

I have forwarded this piece

I have forwarded this piece of art all over the Internet. Thank you Keith. If only you were the new Press Secretary....

If we don't have the

If we don't have the intestinal fortitude to prosecute these criminals perhaps the International Court in The Hague can help us. Someone has to do something we can't just will this away and hope that it never happens again. I live overseas and I knew things were bad, but hearing Keith Olberman's take on this disaster, damn, something must be done or it might happen again in four or eight years into the future.

Got to disagree with about

Got to disagree with about 80% of the BS that you wrote. There is not a nickels worth of spit between the D's and R's, they are all under the thumb of the cabel who really run the world. Most of the problems that the world is going thru is a direct result of the democrats. It is congress who ran the country most of the past 8 years not the republicans. The Federal Reserve is neither federal or a ligit bank but owned by the wealthest people in the world. The folks in power say the word and bingo 1000 trillion of bills are printed and then LOANED to the US gov. We pay interest on money they printed out of thin air. You think the great messiha will fix everything, wait and see. W was not as bad as the media and left made him out to be or as good as the right made him out to be. You will not like the CHANGE that is a coming. The only real fix to all of the corruption in DC is the fair tax, take the money away from the corrupt politicos and buerocrats in DC, and many or the problems will cease. www.fairtax.org

Thank you Keith. This

Thank you Keith. This article should be nailed to every door in the Executive, the Legislative and the Judicial. The moment the American people get their financial confidence back is the moment when we move to prosecute these villains. It is the ONLY way we may mend the rips and tears the Constitution suffered while Bush used it as a doormat.

Well done, and emailed to

Well done, and emailed to many friends. But: I take issue with one thing, which is using the phrase "president Bush." That should be ""president" Bush", with quotes around the word "president." When you "win" by 500 votes after discounting 50,000, you aren't really president. I'd be satisfied if the phrase "president Bush" were replaced with "the mass murdering criminal Usurper Bush."

One addendum to the events

One addendum to the events of Sept. 11, 2001: the only ones other than 'resident Bush' who were able to fly were the members of the Bin Laden family who were given safe passage back home to Saudi Arabia. Hurricane Katrina is a near-perfect analogy for the Bush 'residency ... it caused death, destruction, deprivation, demolished cities, devastated lives, and left a swath of damage that extends around the world. The hurricane may have finally blown away, but the wreckage it left behind will take many, many years to clean up. So, everybody grab a broom ... and if you’re not using it to help sweep up, then use it to whack the hell out of anybody who even THINKS of letting any of those idiots EVER hold ANY power again! Thank you...

So what else should we

So what else should we expect from a secretive fraternity called Skull and Bones but pirates?

I would have appreciated

I would have appreciated this kind of report if it came out while this was all happening. Ya'll media folk can be smug in retrospect.

Obama is off to a good start

Obama is off to a good start at undoing the mistakes of the administration before him. I hope he will repeal the Patriot act. Our excesses in military spending for acts of aggression rather than defense would go a long way toward financing our national repairs.

Ben. Keith has been

Ben. Keith has been telling you all this, all along for the past several years, every night without fail on MSNBC so if you were watching FOX as I suspect, you had your head in the sand with the rest of the world and no one here stopped you from reading the Congressional Record to find much of this for yourself.

wake up 'tomjefferson'--the

wake up 'tomjefferson'--the democratic majority was elected by the people in nov2006, and then they had how many Bush vetoes for the nest 2 years? 'W was not as bad as the media made him out'-> what planet are you living on?'corrupt politicos and bureaucrats' can only be dealt with good regulation--you cannot change people, good regulations, laws, and transparency keep them in line.

Clearly criminal. Will W

Clearly criminal. Will W just depart Washington quietly and not be held accountable? Or, is it better for the new administration to focus on setting things aright and not waste effort and resources on recrimination for past performance?

Yes;; Olberman did in this,

Yes;; Olberman did in this, some good after-the fact hand-wringing!!, But, let's remember Dennis Kuscinich put together a more brilliant , perhaps more terse indictment in his proposed impeachment!! Where were all the wise guys and pontifs then? Out beating their gums about the usual trivia, instead of jumping in, backing him howling and demanding a Busch-Neocon ouster at any cost! ( Including their jobs). Don't forget Wolfowitz, Pearl, Rumsfeld, Libby, Rice and all the Likudniks that shoveled the crap into W's ear, so it could come out his mouth
