At least eight Afghans working with US forces have been killed in a Nato air strike in north-western Afghanistan, the defence ministry in Kabul says.

Nato confirms an air strike was ordered and is investigating whether it was the cause of the deaths on Friday.

It was launched as US and Afghan forces reportedly came under insurgent attack during search operations in Badghis province for two missing US soldiers.

WE Obama supporters would

WE Obama supporters would like it if he got our kids out of Afghanistan

I think the U.S. soldiers

I think the U.S. soldiers were missing because they were not in America. War--how long can it last? An awakening is what we need today!

Friendly-fire killings in

Friendly-fire killings in Afghanistan, the massacre at Fort Hood, countless uncounted and unreported suicides by soldiers - like a desperate scorpion, the US military is on self-destruct. Pious babbling by the President and his generals cannot camouflage a macabre reality. The US juggernaut may well have passed the point of no return - forward lies more, much more, of the same. Has the last American

Has the last American soldier who will die in Afghanistan been born yet?

I supported Obama because he

I supported Obama because he was intelligent compared to Mc Insane and he PROMISED to end the war in Iraq and Afghanistan . As with most politicians , HE LIED . I would suggest that the American people DEMAND that effective immediately 25 % of all Congressmen be drafted and sent to the FRONT LINES for a 1 year period . When their time is up , we will send the next 25 % to the front lines , etc.Let them prove their patriotism and resolve concerning these endless wars. We will tell them to put up or shut up. How many more innocent young boys and girls must DIE and be maimed for life in order to support the corrupt regimes of Iraq and Afghanistan ? Draft big mouthed politicians NOW !

War is an industry that has

War is an industry that has been on the bail out schedule since a long time. We are supposed to have a DEFENSE system but somehow it is transformed to a perpetual OFFENSE system trying to secure new or protect existing markets for the US corporations under the pretext of securing FREEDOM (for the US corporations). Any solution? I don't think there is any force in the society that is organized enough to stop this non-sense. We are doomed to play in the hands of the corporate VALKYRIE. The war machine has brain washed almost all of the public into patriotic straight jacket and flag wrapping hooligans becoming nationalistic jingoistic insanity pushers... No wonder, some of the thinking rank and file inside the system self destruct like in Fort Hood.
