    The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America

    WHEN IN the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

    We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

    Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience heth shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

    Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

    He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

    He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

    He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.

    He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.

    He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the People.

    He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the Legislative Powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.

    He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States, for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners, refusing to pass others to encourage their migration hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.

    He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary Powers.

    He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.

    He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of officers to harass our People, and eat out their substance.

    He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislature.

    He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.

    He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their acts of pretended Legislation:

    For quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:

    For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:

    For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:

    For imposing taxes on us without our Consent:

    For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury:

    For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences:

    For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies:

    For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:

    For suspending our own Legislature, and declaring themselves invested with Power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

    He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.

    He has plundered our seas, ravaged our Coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.

    He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.

    He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.

    He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

    In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

    Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our British brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations which would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

    We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the Protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.

"It is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it." The time for altering and abolishing has come. We have been betrayed by the trust we have foolishly laid down to our elected representatives, who bought and paid for by corporations, no longer represent us, but rather the very thing our forefathers collectively stood up against. It is up to us to see to it that their devotion and sacrifice was not in vain. Down with the fascist regime that has hijacked our nation. Down with Bush, down with Cheney and down with anyone who dares to disrespect their forsworn oaths to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States!

If you asked the average

If you asked the average American today if he would risk his life, share his money, and follow a chivalric code to defend his neighbor, what do you think he'd say? If you asked him if he wouldn't mind having a standing military force in his town to protect his right to cheap Fritos at WalMart, do you think he'd object at all? We have come full circle and are again a nation of complicit subservience to tyranny, and today I mourn. I mourn.

To regain our democratic

To regain our democratic compass we can turn to the founding principals of our nation. For two hundred thirty-two years, The Declaration of Independence has been fundamental. It is fundamental because it has illuminated the truth in peoples’ hearts through asserting that government “derives its just powers from the consent of the governed”. People have inalienable Rights. These Rights are not granted by some authority, or by a court or by edict. They are not even dependent on citizenship. People have Inalienable Rights because we are people. It is as simple as that. Our nation was founded in that profoundly direct declaration, and we all are freed in the truth of it. In this knowledge, we find our strengths and from them we build strength in mutual recognition and collective action toward the common good. “We hold these truths to be self evident.” That is to say, power is not bestowed or appropriated by individuals; The People grant it. The People embody it. This is not simply idealism. It is a self-evident truth. It, too, gains strength when cited. Democratic Government is not derived from the barrel of a gun. Rather, it comes from the will of the people. The will of the people comes from the respectful mutual recognition of enlightened self-interest as our interests in common. However, what we have now is not the government that we have had historically. What we have taken for granted as our Rights, now must be insisted upon. The Representatives that have selectively and illegally removed our options as a free people now must be actively challenged. When we recollect our nation’s founding principals we can see more clearly by contrast what is at work. Instead of the government we have known, we have an anti-government, a Vichy-government aimed at subverting rather than improving democratic structures of Law. In doing so, the very social, political and legal standards by which democratic Representatives hold office are abrogated. Therefore, they no longer have any democratic legitimacy to office. They must be driven out with this in view.

The law written by an Iranian radical religious group (Bahai Faith) with a cell (Tahirih Justice Center) in Fairfax, VA so un-Constitutional it had to be sneaked into the renewal of another law at the last minute before Congress went on Christmas vacation in 2005 with NO hearings or evidence besides feminist hearsay and then hidden from the media so as not to expose the Bahai Faith Social Terrorist agenda. It doesn't mean much - as long as you think it is American that a man has to be fingerprinted and stripsearched via complete criminal background check, history of any previous marriages, information about any children, a list of everywhere he has lived since the age of 18, then his name must be run through sex offender registries state and national wide. You know, Presumed guily unless proven innocent. For what you say? To be able to say "hi" to a foreign woman through the internet (after she gives her written permission to do so.) Absurd? Yes. Un-American? Definitely. Un-Constitutional? Absolutely. Draconian? You bet. So when do Iranian religious groups draft laws and get them passed via sneaking them in? Let's hope they don't sneak anothers law putting their hero Osama in for President. Our fore-Fathers must be rolling around in their graves. IMBRA - google it and be prepared to throw up and throw away your right to say hi to and marry whoever you damn well please.

We have traded one King

We have traded one King George for another. The time when citizens could act on the words, "It is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it.", has passed. Most of our nation is, by the fascists design, complacent and therefore complicit with their wholesale corporate takeover. - Get your land - Build your sustainable earth-sheltered dwelling - Learn to grow, harvest, protect and store your own food. - Do this among other like minded survivors - Arm yourselves - When and if appropriate have children and educate them free of the corporations influences. (May their first sentence be, "No Central Banks!") Then wait for the fascists power to slip through their hands. This is a document that I believe every citizen should read several times a year to be reminded what this country is all about and what should happen when people like George Bush and Richard Cheney usurp our government and pervert it away from a democracy and turn it into a corporatist government that cares little for the freedoms that our forefathers and our soldiers and veterans fought and died for. This document is just as true today as it was 2 1\2 centuries ago. it is time for us, the people of the United State of America, to rise up and remind this republican scourge what the will of the people means. No more can we stand "free speech zones". No more can we stand prisoners of war being held illegally in violation of the Geneva Convention. No more can we stand for George Bush to remain as President of the United States. I say either impeachment or revolution. As a veteran, I am insulted that he dares comments on our veterans(not to mention, recklessly sending them into an illegal war against a sovereign nation that was no threat to us), a man who didn't have the honor to serve his term of enlistment as an officer in a posh unit that protected him from a war that those who were less connected were forced to serve in. As much as I abhor the dishonorable actions of his father in Iraq and Panama, at least he had the courage to serve when his country called. I re-iterate the words of a earlier poster who pointed out that a new, draconian, un-American law called IMBRA (International Marriage Broker Regulation Act of 2005) illustrates how far downhill we've gone since that great day in 1776 when our Forefathers declared our Independence and founded what has become the greatest nation on Earth. This law labels personals ad services, where people FREELY post their profiles and state their desire to meet eligible singles, as "marriage brokers". It puts restrictions on the freedom of U.S. citizens to seek, communicate with and marry people who live outside the U.S. It requires each member of a personals ad service to to provide detailed personal background information and be criminal background checked before becoming a member. It then requires that this information be compiled into a report and sent to each and every advertiser in his or her own language, for signed consent, before any communication between the two is allowed. This law is an outrage and a blasphemy to the free republic that George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and the other Founding Fathers created 232 years ago yesterday.

Well I Have to agree the most positive and thoughtful thing we can do right now is prepare self sustainable communities and protect them as well as removing the children from the system in general so they are no longer subject to the indoctrination into tyranny. Equilibrium and natural law reign truly supreme and those who have went against their own people and continued down the path of monopolistic authoritative dictatorship have ultimately shot themselves in the foot. The people have become so usurped by the system that they can not hold it together and the economic structure that has over time become more and more disgustingly corrupt is close to having a major correction. At that point the powers that be will have no carrots to dangle in front of the masses and we will no longer abide by their structures. Of course there will be a period of chaos and transition and how pleasant or unpleasant this will be will depend on well you have prepared for it. The oddest thing is that if the corrupt powers that have usurped this nation really wanted to have a sustainable police state or empire they would have made sure always to keep enough food in the bellies and enough entertainment and leisure time activities to keep them unaware. Unfortunately and fortunately the incessant greed has won out and the system has become so top heavy that it is only a matter of time that is rights itself. I sure the hell would not want to be an evil greedy tyrant when the sh** hits the fan because the average joe out there is not enlightened anymore due to the long standing abuse done unto the masses and they are going to be looking for blood. The "forefathers" who wrote and signed off on these lofty words were mostly slaveholders and landgrabbers (white and male-they were the landed gentry). Maybe that's where the whole thing was derailed. It was hypocritical from the start. Native and Poor people and Women had no say in the matter. Black men were considered to be 3/5 of a man and Black women and children only counted as far as they counted their cattle. The whole thing was a set-up for the benefit of a few. No wonder those in power today have no respect for the Constitution and Declaration of Independence. They only refer to these documents when it suits their need to appear patriotic.
