The President and First Lady will travel to Texas to attend service for the victims of the Fort Hood shooting. The Los Angeles Times reports:
Obama and Biden to Memorialize Military Dead

Today is a day for memorial services as President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will be in separate parts of the country to mourn soldiers who died in war and peace.
Wearing black, President Obama and his wife, Michelle, left the White House this morning, en route to Ft. Hood in Texas. They will meet privately with the families of victims of last week's shooting spree. The president will deliver remarks at the public ceremony scheduled for 2 p.m. EST.
Biden will be in Ft. Lewis, Wash., where he will attend a memorial service for seven soldiers killed by an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan on Oct. 27. They were members of the 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, 5th Stryker Brigade combat team, 2nd Infantry Division.
