There were news reports on

There were news reports on radio and TV here in Austin Tuesday & Wednesday of "a man" acting like a voting official at 1 or 2 polling stations -approaching voters and telling Obama voters to follow a procedure on the machines that would cancel their vote.

Unfortunate that Obama as

Unfortunate that Obama as with Kerry and Gore before him is refusing to take a public stand against the voter fraud being carried out systematically by the Republican Party through its various campaign managers and secretaries of state. At least 2 million Democratic voters have been struck off the roles and will be casting provisional ballots which will end up in the shredders (as was done in Ohio in disregard of court orders). Never has the theft been so blatant and yet the Democrats Party leadership acts like the proverbial deer in the headlamps hoping that this time the car will swerve. Not likely.

This business of

This business of (deliberately ? ) faulty touch screen voting machines has by now gone beyond any reasonable level of tolerance. These vote faking machines should have been removed all across the nation when they were first demonstrated to fake votes or break down more than two years ago. Deliberate and illegal interference in the voting process by electoral precinct personnel is another intolerable problem that should never have been allowed to continue, but it appears that this election will be plagued by the same problems that were revealed - - TOO OFTEN AFTER THE FACT - - in 2000, 2004, and 2006 There is one very simple form of patriotic civil protest that may suggest an answer to the fraudulant voting machines: have a very large number of voters bring along small hammers to the voting booths and damage beyond repair the machines that have been "FIXED" by the companies who manufacture them or the criminal programers hired to "jimmy" the software. When a voter sees that the machine has altered a vote or stalled , the hammer should be employed to disable the offending machine - - immediately. While it will undoubtedly result in arrests for destroying government property, a vast protest, if staged on a wide enough scale, will make its point and prevent the faked election of the wrong candidate. Again, it may have already happened in 2000 and 2004. If our state governments refuse to solve the fakery with the fairly simple remedies they already have at hand, it's past time we have another Boston Tea Party.

Telling everyone, mcpalin is

Telling everyone, mcpalin is NOT out of this election and it appears that the heads of diebold and ess voting machines already have their machines programmed to ensure mcpalin's victory. I would think that the people in congress would have addressed this by dictating at the least that any software relating to a government function cannot be held as proprietary as this is for the people and not for some private business to manipulate any government functions requiring machines that have software to carry out its function. Man, oh, man, if only there were some serious oversight by congress then there would be no problems, well, not as many, maybe. Even state and local elections should be regulated by federal law as to what companies such as diebold and ess can and can't do or with hold. Also a place for people to recognize how important it is for them to try to get a state government, and local, elected that will scrutinize the voting procedures. If not, eternal vigilance just took another long road trip backwards down the road.

The USA is looking more and

The USA is looking more and more like a third world country every day.... A corrupt and powerful elite takes control, and rigs every aspect of the government to enrich themselves at the expense of the public. The republican party is a malignant tumor that has metastasized on the vital organs of America. Where is the doctor? What is the cure? Is it too late?

I'm afraid that this time if

I'm afraid that this time if the same scenario as in the last two presidential election repeats itself there is going to be real trouble in the streets across America. Especially if Obama is over 6% ahead in the polls the day of the vote. I wouldn't like to be in the shoes (or at the home) of the CEO's of Diebold or other companies connected to the voting apparatus...I suggest that they take their wife, kids and family and hide in a very deep hole : because 'We The People' will be coming after them....before starting criminal proceedings against the fascist govt. behind these last eight squandered years!

Good luck folks you guys are

Good luck folks you guys are really pushing it uphill... corruption appears to run supreme in the USA...

As Chomsky has pointed out,

As Chomsky has pointed out, the mass and systematic election fraud in 2000 and, even worse, 2004, has been an issue almost exclusively to intellectual elites. One obvious reason is the extremely effective system of indoctrination and propaganda, which makes it virtually impossible for ordinary Americans to grasp reality. Another, perhaps less obvious reason (to those elites) is that the whole system is and has long been so patently fraudulent to the masses of Americans. Black people, poor people, young people, all the groups that consistently vote (and register) in pitifully low numbers do so for good reason: this corporatist (fascist, by Mussolini's definition) government and society is hopelessly and irredeemably corrupt and totally unresponsive to the needs and demands of anyone outside of the corporations and big-money lobbying groups. Republican and Democratic administrations have pursued nearly identical policies regarding big corporations, Wall St, so-called "free trade," the military industrial complex, our hyper-racist and criminal penal system, education, and almost every other big issue, while dividing the country about flag burning and other such nonsense. So while the first reason is surely true, it is the second reason that helps us understand why most Americans responded with a big shrug of the shoulders as professors, independent journalists, and Ivy League leftists (like myself) presented mountains of evidence of a total fraud. If the message was, "this is not a democracy," the response (or lack thereof) could well be construed as a big, "tell us something we didn't already know."

I don't get this? Why is

I don't get this? Why is this issue not all over the news? Surely it goes to the very heart of democracy and ANY suspicion of electoral fraud should be ruthlessly investigated. The answer is that the USA is NOT a democratic country. It's a fascist kleptocracy serving only the elite.

The main chance for an Obama

The main chance for an Obama victory is the percentage of his lead in the polls (though they may not be completely accurate). As genklag indicates above, the people at Diebold and ESS (companies run by brothers, both Republican and both criminal) may, indeed, feel the wrath of the irate informed should a comfortable lead turn into a narrow defeat. It is amazing that Pelosi and Conyers know all about these evil bastards, yet they've done nothing to put them to public scrutiny. It is quite obvious the Dems have been holding back because there is some blackmail going on here. What other reason is there to account for such lack of action in the face of such egregious fraud? The Rove/Cheney/Bush gang, a coven of thugs more evil, murderous, treasonous, and profiteering than any troika in history, make Hitler's Nazis, and Stalin's Commies look like Avon Ladies. The domestic NSA phone/e-mail tapping has paid off for them big time...all the way to the bank. Offshore, of course.

"I am afraid that this time

"I am afraid that this time if"---Maybe COG is ready for an uprising, if violence occurs after the election is stolen. Remember KBR has been constructing civilian detention camps on military bases for the last four years. There is even a .mil website "Army Regulation 210–35" dealing with Civilian Inmate Labor Programs. I was fully expecting the use of these facilities before now, after a nuke went off in Wichita and was blamed on Iran, so Bush/Cheney could declare marshal law. But I may be overestimating the competency of this crew.

I simply cannot believe that

I simply cannot believe that this information has not been given the exposure that is required. I do think that Obama is sufficiently ahead in the polls to weather this fraud. However, someone should get this to the right people.

We have already been cheated

We have already been cheated out of 8 years of having a sane president.

A lot of people don't want

A lot of people don't want to hear truthful details. It's so much easier to just re-circulate via e-mail low-level deceitful distractions that reaffirm their biases. This little video spells out just what's gone on and what is going on. Karl Rove and his disciples keep throwing out red herring such as ACORN . . . it's always distractions by the GOP. Attack ads and arguments over them also are something of a distraction from where the real damage is being done behind the scenes, largely with voting machines. Sarah Palin is a distraction. It's pretty obvious the state of Ohio was stolen, by design, in 2004 by the GOP and that gave Bush the necessary electoral votes to beat Kerry. It continued the rape of the economy, the environment, the control of society by the privileged class. The same sort of theft already is being attempted in various states--along with disenfranchisement of any newly registered voters, who tend to be largely liberal-leaning minorities and young people. I've read the newspaper accounts on line about the touch-screen voting machines provided in vote-early states this year, but somehow the accounts of switching Obama votes to McCain just don't make the TV news-bites that so influence voters. There was a detailed account, for instance, in the Charleston, WV, Gazette-Mail on Oct. 18. Punch "Obama," you got "McCain." With a corrupt Department of Justice now in place and a right-leaning Supreme Court, there's not much effort anywhere to correct all the stuff currently going on. In 2000, during the chaos in Florida, the Supreme Court arbitrarily called a halt to recounts and investigation--at a point where Bush just happened to have an apparent very-slim lead. It's reasonable to wonder why they couldn't allow a few more weeks of checking things out--such as all the late-arriving ballots suddenly appearing from troops overseas, possibly edited en route, that were accepted. Inauguration day was not until well into January, but the court was in one made rush to shut things down. It was thus futile for Kerry to challenge Ohio in 2004. The high court would become even more central to a fascist regime were another Republican president put into place to appoint the next couple of justices. The "democracy" that presidential dimwit George Bush raves about is a wizened little version of what this country had not too many years ago--and the longer we wait, the more difficult it becomes to bring back the good times. The status quo just isn't cutting it; but when our vote itself is taken away, what recourse is left? It's really scary to those who actually will watch this video, that one pro-life nut in a position of power in the manipulation of voting machines, could easily determine the future of the world where all manner of other things are concerned--like whether global warming slowly strangles it, or whether or not we in the U.S. wind up with a war-mongering president with a mediocre brain. Hopefully, this election still can save us from the short-sighted, self-serving, hedonistic, oblivious--and downright stupid.--Tom Camfield, Port Townsend, Wash.

My grandmother & great-aunt

My grandmother & great-aunt did early voting - the electronic machine did not register their votes - they had to re-enter 4 or 5 times, otherwise it would have been blank. This is in Odessa Tx, a Republican area & they were voting Rep, so why the mess? Just one more reason for advocating changes - we can pay bills, and even taxes online, why can't we vote online? I'll be double checking my votes - because in each race I'm voting someone different based on their platforms, not on which party.

And yet we're the only

And yet we're the only 'democracy' in the world that doesn't allow UN voting inspectors in to make sure that things are on the up-and-up. Go figure.
