Reminds me of a friend who called me a month or so ago. He has been diagnosed with cancer, cannot afford the treatment and without health care.
According to the doctor, he has about five years to live and has decided against treatment based on his financial situation.
As a nurse today I heard the story of a woman who had a stroke after a TECC --a procedure done after a heart surgery to check status. She is going to be severely incapacitated now. Her husband decided she was not getting better so she should go to hospital.
More double talk from Obama. Government should not run health care, I agree, our taxes should pay for Medicare for all. Just like the roads we drive upon, the services provided by the fire department and the police department, the post office, the public parks & national forests enjoyed by families and individuals. Student loan programs, etc. etc. etc.
Health care is a basic human right, not a commodity.
