You tell em Richard! That

You tell em Richard! That was the best speech I've heard in this campaign. If you want to live free, vote for Obama!

Great to hear your

Great to hear your leadership in binding the deepest wound of this nation, the question of race. Yes to working class solidarity! And in the words of the Industrial Workers of the World "An Injury to One is an Injury to All!".

Right on, Richard Trumka!

Right on, Richard Trumka! Finally, someone addressed the seal in the bedroom and called 'em out for what they are! Thank you, sir.

Yes. Yes! In my most

Yes. Yes! In my most fervent dreams I pray you are right and that we take our country back. Restore democracy, equality and humanity. Stop the spread of fear, militarization and intolerance and the failed policies that are destroying our beautiful United States. That's what it is called- United States. We must all work together for a United States of America.

Wow! How soon we forget how

Wow! How soon we forget how many wonderful organizations are out there fighting for equality and justice during these sad, demoralizing times. Thank you Richard Trumka. Your speech would do JFK and Martin Luther King so proud. I cried, it was so beautiful.

"...and 2008 will be the

"...and 2008 will be the year we can tell our great grand children that America finally started to truly heal the sickness of racism." What a speech! In this campaign it might not have been the slickest but it sure was by far the one that rang the truest! I just loved it!!!

Richard Trumka for number

Richard Trumka for number one labor voice! This speech made me proud to be an American. Knowing that someone this high up in organized labor understands what he does and cares to the extent he does encourages me, and I think, all of us-- and gives us more heart for the fight. As the grandfather of a beautiful two year-old, whose father is black and whose mother is white, I know that there is no more room in my heart for racism. As we weather this Depression, let's keep the historical story straight and root out the real enemies of generosity and kindness.

Thank you, Richard Trumka. I

Thank you, Richard Trumka. I wish this speech could be broadcast across the land on mainstream media. Wishful thinking, of course. But your words are healing words and we need to hear them. Thanks to you and your members.

I think every American ought

I think every American ought to hear this speech and start living up to its high standards! What an inspiration. There is no room for racism in a nation, that considers itself free. Let us make it so!

Wow! This reminds me of why

Wow! This reminds me of why I decided to support Barack Obama after he spoke about racial issues last spring. It reminds of us of the kind of people we want to be. Thank you

"As imperfect as we are . .

"As imperfect as we are . . . ," he said. I can't remember the last time I heard that sort of self-critical honesty from any leader in this country. If the American middle class does manage to survive the current reign of callous, shameless greed, we'll have the unions and leaders like Mr. Trumka to thank for it. You're a good man, Richard Trumka.

Thanks for making us feel

Trumka is wrong. Obama is

Outstanding speech! You

The 500lbs. Gorilla in the room has finally been called out for what it is. Thank you Mr. Trumka!

What an impassioned,

What an impassioned, well-balanced & thoughtful address. How pleasant to have someone address our frailties as well as our strengths as a nation. We are still very much a work in progress and words like those of Richard Trumka only serve to cause us to reevaluate our beliefs and to make us better. The anthem "America the Beautiful" speaks of mending our every flaw as well as of what makes us a wonderful country and I thought of those words when listening to Richard Trumka. Amen!

God Bless you Mr. Trumka.

God Bless you Mr. Trumka. When America see that it's all about the people and not about the color we will soar like that Eagle that represent this Great Country. I told someone the other day that Obama is neither white or black yet he's both. If he would hurt white people he would then hurt his Mother and if he would hurt black people he would then hurt his Father. We all should embrace and support this man who I believe is a God Send. PASSION ANGER TRUTH these

PASSION ANGER TRUTH these have been entirely lacking from this moribund, sound-bite campaign. We all wish that our country's leaders spoke with the strength and intelligence and honesty of Richard Trumka.Well, they won't. What Trumka makes clear is that it's up to us to instill a sense of urgency into this election. For God's sake, WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!We must keep this administration out of the White House. If McCain is elected, we will only continue to slide into the abyss.
