Thanks for posting this video. I agree, a context would be helpful though. I do not understand some of the points Palast is making. Perhaps he didn't feel the need to make concise points because of the audience he was addressing. But not having heard him before, I found it frustrating to follow his logic because he jumps around topics and never finishes a thought. Instead he leaves it to the audience to complete (they laugh sometimes). I have a feeling what he is saying is important. I simply cannot follow him sometimes.

Please correct the editing problem in Greg Palast's video. The segment ending at 8:19 should be followed by the segment starting at ~24:50, followed by the segment that begins at 8:20.

If Greg Palast is right, I understand why a U.S. army unit is moving into "Northcom", a newly-created entity to handle "civil unrest", in the United States, something that was outlawed in 1876. If the popularly elected president is denied his mandate FOR THE THIRD TIME, the people might get unruly.

Wrong. Karl Rove (whoever he is) is the brains behind the operation according to George Bush. His playbook is straight out of Nazi Germany which old man Prescott Bush aided and abetted. The principle characteristics of a FASCIST state are: Propaganda (instead of news); Nationalism (always with a boogie man--last time it was the Commies, this time it's the Terrorists); Militarism; and an Industrial Ruling Elite. It's all about redistribution of wealth (remember what happened to the property of the the millions of people taken to concntration camps. The fascists were so greedy, they even took the gold out of their teeth. And that's what American banks would do to you today if they could get away with it).

I keep hearing "we need to put in places policies to insure that this doesn't happen again". We did that already. Such policies were enacted as a result of the 1929 debacle. Mr. Palast, you say that the invasion of Iraq was to enhance our relationship to OPEC. This was done by shutting down oil production, or minimizes it. However, billions (and approaching the trillion mark) have been squandered on this Iraq fiasco. That seems to be a very wasteful approach to satisfy OPEC. I have also heard that Iraq was destroyed bitterly because of the desires of certain Zionists leaders. Apparently, there seems to be an age-old grudge with Nebuchaneedzar. This period of the Hebrews is known as the "Babylonian Captivity." It is chronicled in the book of Daniel and was foretold in the book of Jeremiah. The current "bailout" of Wall Street falls under the classification of "Socialism" and is exactly the type of Socialism that exists in fascist regimes (steal from the poor to give to the rich). The US is also clearly a Nationalist state, with the majority of people clearly believing in the superiority of this nation over all others. Therefore, the US is clearly a National Socialist regime.
